Susana

COACH

My name is Susana, but please call me Susie. I am so excited to join the Elite Spartans Team as a Trainer!

I have always been active and it started at a young age with dance. Throughout my school years, I was either part of the cheer squad, dance team, or performance. I loved learning dance routines and performing, especially ballet and jazz. Fun fact: I made it as a finalist to one of our Bay Area NFL cheer teams – it was an awesome experience!

In mid-2017 my husband and I became parents and had a beautiful baby girl. Between being a mom and working 40 hours a week as a corporate paralegal in Mountain View, I barely had any time let alone energy to work out. I gained weight, didn’t feel like myself, and did not like the way I looked. It wasn’t until the end of 2018 that I decided to make a change for myself. If I wanted to be a strong and healthy mom for my daughter I had to take care of my health. I quit my corporate job and became a stay-at-home mom.

As a New Years’ resolution, I wanted to start 2019 with a focus on starting a healthy routine and losing weight. I worked out from home with minimal equipment and adapted healthy eating habits. Once I started to notice the changes in my body and remembered how good it felt to have exercise as part of my daily routine. I kept going and have not stopped since then. Sure, life happens and I have had some minimal setbacks, but I have pushed myself to pick up where I left off and kept my routine going.

I loved the energy I got after a workout and enjoyed learning so much about health and exercise that I decided to pursue a career in fitness. By August 2020 I became a NASM-certified personal trainer and now I am happy to say that I am part of this amazing team! I look forward to being your trainer and motivating you to push through that last rep!

Remember, no one will do this for you, it’s up to you to make it happen!

Quick facts about me, I love spending time with my family, watching movies, listening to music (I am an 80’s and 90’s fan), working out, and dancing. My favorite color is pink, and I am a huge Wonder Woman fan.
