Andy Lai

Personal Trainer

Hey guys! My name is Andy.

I am excited for the opportunity to meet and help train each of you
here at Elite Spartans. I wanted to become a coach here at Elite Spartans after seeing their
social media page and saw that they ran one of the best weight-lifting and boot camp classes in
the Bay Area. After conducting more research on this gym, I realized that this place was where I
was meant to be. Being here and getting the opportunity to teach the weight-lifting and
bootcamp classes, as well as train clients one-on-one, brings tremendous excitement and joy to
my heart.

About Me

When I was a kid, I was excessively obese and had an unhealthy diet. I would consume junk food nearly everyday. It was up until the point where my doctors told me that I had pre-diabetes and if I did not make a change in my lifestyle, then I would have serious health complications down the road. Around the same time, my older brother introduced me to sports. I started doing track in middle school and eventually added football in high school. I started to understand more about working out and nutrition at this point in my life. After a hiatus from competitive sports, I decided to take on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as that leisure activity. I started out as a hobbyist, but the more I trained and spent time honing my skills in that
sport, the more I became immersed in it. I work tirelessly on a weekly basis with my coach to continuously improve my craft. The hard work eventually paid off as I started winning matches and awards at tournaments and got booked for superfights for different promotions. I have a
deep love and passion for fitness, whether you’re a hobbyist or a competitive athlete, and I am excited to be a part of this team that has helped thousands of individuals throughout the years improve their lifestyle.
